![]() SquirrelMail can be used by users who want a simple interface to read and reply to emails. Users who need a user-friendly web interface with some additional features are encouraged to check out RoundCube. It becomes especially apparent when compared to Horde, which Ill do in the second half of this article. SquirrelMail will be included in almost all hosting providers’ list of web-based email clients. Which webmail is better Horde or RoundCube Horde has a full suite of features that include mobile email access and advanced productivity tools. You will need to setup the redirect so the subdomain goes to the URL of the webmail program of your choice. SquirrelMail is one of the best webmail clients you should know. Do NOT use as these particular subdomains are already in use on the server and attempting to use them as subdomains can result in conflicts.Īfter you've setup the subdomain in your cPanel, setup a "redirect" for the subdomain (by clicking on the "subdomains" icon). ![]() Roundcube has the features such as markings, calendars, folders, full featured address book with groups and LDAP connectors, find-as-you-type address book integration as well as MIME support. In cPanel, setup a subdomain called something like (you can do this by clicking on the "subdomains" icon in cPanel). Note: You must replace with your actual domain name in the above examples. and is enough to make me reject Ssquirrelmail out-of-hand as a solution for my needs. ![]() Which kinda sucks if you are used to having integrated calendars etc. Squirrelmail is nice and easy, works fine as a primary email interface. Once you have logged into webmail, click on the webmail program of your choice. Copy the url in your address bar. If -all- you want is email, I'd go for Squirrelmail, or possibly RoundCube. You'll need to login using a username (which is the full email address) and password. ![]()
